Living near Skagit Valley, WA provides many opportunities to enjoy spring's tulips.
Our standard gift of a week
or so of clear weather in
February provided this view
of the Sisters as seen along
the Nooksack River.
I was fortunate to attend the Badminton Horse Trials in England.
This was quite a jump that was followed very closely by another
jumping element of equal difficulty.
Stephanie's incredible garden
This was one of those
days in late winter
when the snow falls
fast and heavy
but is gone
very soon after.
This shot was taken on the road
down from the castle in Beynac,
France. The road was very steep,
windy and long. I actually climbed
to the top of the town and realized
I had forgotten my camera.
It was late in the afternoon and
the sun was beginning to appear
after an overcast day. So I went
down and huffed and puffed
my way back up again.
While staying in Paris last summer,
my daughter and I ventured out
of our hotel one morning to find
this scene just around the corner.
While it looked very scary to me,
there was definitely no state of panic
in the air. We were never sure what
happened.
